Project: Bio-Dome Home
Bio-Dome Home
Over a six-week period, our team transformed a half-finished structure into a fully realised, unique home within a dome at Orange Springs on the Moore River.
This project involved extensive work, including gyprock installation, steel stud framing, floating floor installation, and the construction of stairs, platforms, balustrades, and an outdoor bath, bathroom, and kitchen. Despite the challenges, our team delivered exceptional results, demonstrating skill, dedication, and teamwork.
Starting with a rough design, the project was refined with input from an experienced master builder, ensuring a layout that met the client’s needs. Our team handled the majority of the work, from initial construction to the intricate details of the boardwalk tie-in and steps. Skilled tradespeople were brought in to achieve a professional finish, particularly in plastering and boilermaking.
The Bio-Dome is a testament to our commitment to quality and innovation. Special thanks go to the specialists who provided the impeccable finish on the stair treads and the solid fiddleback Jarrah bench tops, which are standout features of the home.
This project reflects our dedication to craftsmanship and the legacy of one of Perth's finest builders, whose influence guided us throughout the build. The Bio-Dome at Orange Springs stands as a remarkable achievement, showcasing what can be accomplished through expertise and collaboration.
